We use the following printing methods in the production process:
Flexography is the most well-known method used for cardboard packaging boxes. It can be easily printed on a variety of materials. Flexographic printing is also fast due to its minimal set-up and efficient speed.
The process of printing on cardboard boxes using flexography involves the use of flexible photopolymer plates with raised image areas that are mounted on rotating cylinders. As the substrate passes between an ink plate and a printing roller, the ink design is transferred to the plate.
Overall, flexographic printing offers many printing advantages. Here are the main advantages of flexography:
• Cost-effectiveness
• Speed
• Versatility
However, flexography also has some disadvantages:
• Does not support complex designs: Flexographic printing is best suited for simple designs and logos. Flexography can limit your design options if you have very detailed or intricate artwork. If this is the case for you, you can try other options.
• Colors may not be as vibrant: While flexography produces accurate design prints, they may not be as vibrant as some other printing methods. Colors may not be as bright or bold as you would like.
Digital printing is a more modern option for your printing needs. The process is relatively simple – instead of using printing plates or other similar technology, this style reproduces digital prints using a printer. Simply send your designs as a PDF or similar file to the printer, and the image will be copied onto your cardboard. The preferred print file format is 300 dpi.
Overall, this printing style is a cost-effective and high-quality solution. Digital printing offers many advantages to users, such as:
• Lower costs: Digital printing does not require setup costs or printing plates, so it produces at a lower cost.
• Great for small jobs: Digital printing does not require minimum quantities or other costs, so it is ideal for small runs. You can print as little as 1 piece.
Full-color printing, suitable for more complex designs, without the option of white. However, it should be noted that the colors will not be as “juicy” on recycled cardboard.
Screen Printing
An alternative or quite similar printing method for cardboard packaging boxes is screen printing, also known as screen printing.
This is a very suitable method if you want bold graphics, illustrations or a solid color implementation on cardboard boxes. It is also the most recommended method if you are printing small to medium runs.
The disadvantage of this method is the maximum format of the printed workpiece and its high cost. Usually printed in single tones, without complex color transitions.
